Fees and Deposits
Your account may be subject to a deposit. If your account requires a deposit, the deposit will be credited back after paying on time for 12 consecutive months, or it can be credited to the final bill upon closing the account.
If your account is a new service installation more than 200 feet from the road, a line-extension fee will be calculated per-foot for overhead and underground options. Overhead options may require a site meeting to determine the exact cost.
Here’s how to estimate your installation costs, assuming normal conditions, without interruption by trees, streams, river crossings and other obstacles:
Distance from road, in feet | Underground cost* | Overhead cost | ||||||||||||||||||
0-200 | $125 | $125 | ||||||||||||||||||
300 | $5,305 | $2,700 | ||||||||||||||||||
400 | $6.150 | $2,900 | ||||||||||||||||||
500 | $6,995 | $3.100 | ||||||||||||||||||
600 | $7,840 | $3,700 | ||||||||||||||||||
700 | $8,685 | $3,800 | ||||||||||||||||||
800 | $9,530 | $4,400 | ||||||||||||||||||
1000 | $11,220 | $4,800 | ||||||||||||||||||
2000 | $19,670 | $9,000 | ||||||||||||||||||
Meter InstallationMeters will be installed on a Consolidated Co-op-owned pole or pedestal. Unfortunately, we can’t install a meter on any type of structure, including a house, barn, or other pedestal. We also can’t connect to a temporary meter. You can expect your meter installation about two to four weeks after fees have been paid and any easements are recorded. That timeline depends on the distance of the line extension and the weather. |
